CALL FOR ABSTRACTS – NOW OPEN

The Course Directors of the 2023 Inaugural Biomarker and Clinical Drug Development in AAT: Opportunities and Challenges Conference invites the submission of abstracts regarding AAT LD. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive update on the status of research and to stimulate collaborations, recruitment of subjects, and ideas for the development of other studies. Authors may submit abstracts of completed work, work in progress, or work presented elsewhere within the past 12 months. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed. One author will be awarded complimentary round trip air transportation (economy), free registration and a one night hotel stay (travel award applicable only to non-industry healthcare providers.)

All submitting authors will receive confirmation of their abstract submission via email.

Based on scientific merit, one abstract will be selected for podium presentation or poster presentation.

Notification of acceptance for podium and poster presentations will be acknowledged by email on February 14th.

Abstract Formatting Instructions

  • ​​Limit abstracts to one page, typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, single-spaced with one-inch margins, and left justified.

  • Notification of acceptance for podium and poster presentations will be acknowledged by email on February 14th.

  • Organize the abstract into Background/Aim, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. Define all abbreviations. Include the abstract category, abstract title, full names and institutional affiliations of all authors, and email address of the corresponding author at the top of the abstract.

  • Underline the name of the presenting author. Abstracts must not contain copyrighted material unless permission has been obtained by the author. Indicate at the bottom of the page if the abstract has been presented elsewhere and at what meeting.

 

Submitted abstracts not meeting the above specifications will be returned.
